Ohm-Labs has developed the model HVD based on the HVS High Voltage Standard. The HVD has additional outputs for nominal ratios, for both dc and ac.

The HVD uses precision matched resistors for high accuracy. The high voltage section is similar to those on the HVS High Voltage Standard.

The low resistance section is housed separately. It contains a network of precision resistors to provide two ratio outputs. An impedance matching switch selects for a 1 megohm ac meter. Output connectors are BNC type.

Simliar to the HVS,a guard structure reduces leakage errors by shielding each resistor at its nominal voltage. The guard structure forms a secondary divider with a separate output to monitor voltage during tests.

The high voltage resistors are enclosed in an acrylic tube, protecting them from dust and contamination. A low voltage fan exhausts heat out the top of the divider.

The HVD is offered in 50, 100 and 150 kV models. Other voltage ranges and ratios are available on request. Higher voltages can be measured by adding additional HVD stacks.

The HVD can be easily disassembled for safe transport. Every HVD includes rugged transit cases. The base and toroids are in one case, and each high voltage stack has a case.

ISO17025 accredited calibration is included up to 150 kV dc and up to 100 kV ac (50 or 60 Hz rms).
